In September 2017, we set off for Spain again with same David Kent, of Great Glen Wildlife, to look for Brown Bear. There are only a few in the Iberian Peninsular - perhaps 200.

We worked really hard, and late into the evenings, in some known areas without much success. You still get the buzz of anticipation and still see other creatures - in this case, wild boar, roedeer, etc.

Then, one morning, we met a young french chap who said he had been watching 6 bears while eating his breakfast. So, off we went to his spot that evening and success - we saw two bears. They were some distance away but much closer than we thought we would see them. Really exciting.

We are returning to that spot again in September 2019 after a wolf hunt further west!!
