Travel writer and photographer Peter Musson was born in Leicester, England in 1948. He graduated with a joint Geography and History degree from McGill University, Canada in 1970 and after travelling overland from Canada to Brazil several times in the seventies, settled there in 1979, first in Rio and later in São Paulo.

Over the years, extensive travels in the Americas, Europe and Australasia have led to his travel stories and photography being published in magazines and newspapers around the world, including London’s World Magazine, the Geographical Magazine, the Daily Telegraph, the Toronto Globe and Mail and the Melbourne Age, while also working on assignments for Brazil’s leading magazines. In 1993, Peter was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
